Legal Cashier Opportunity at NXTGEN Recruitment

NXTGEN Recruitment is seeking a skilled Legal Cashier to support the finance function of a dynamic and expanding law firm. As a key member of the finance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the firm's financial transactions are handled accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Account Management: Manage client accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and compliant with SRA rules.
  • Financial Transactions: Process and reconcile payments, receipts, and transfers, handling daily banking and allocation of funds.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit VAT returns, maintaining accuracy in all tax matters.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting, ensuring compliance with Anti-Money Laundering regulations.
  • Team Collaboration: Liaise with fee earners and other departments to resolve financial queries, supporting the finance team with audits and financial analysis as required.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working in a similar Legal Cashier role.
  • Strong understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR).
  • Proficiency with legal accounting software, such as Leap, Sage, or similar systems.
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for interaction with internal teams and external stakeholders.
