Key Responsibilities

- Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and ward rounds to optimize medication management, ensuring safe and effective prescribing practices in line with organizational guidelines.

- Collaborate with Clinical Pharmacy Technicians to establish and maintain a streamlined 28-day dispensing service, promoting the effective use of patients' own medications and encouraging self-administration.

- Assist nursing staff in maintaining appropriate pharmacy stock levels on designated wards, regularly assessing and adjusting inventory based on prescribing patterns.

- Participate in ongoing audit initiatives within specified practice areas to enhance the quality of care provided to patients.

  • Proven experience in a hospital environment (including Community and/or Mental Health settings)

Educational Background

Essential Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Pharmacy, along with successful completion of a pre-registration training year
  • Registered member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Diploma or MSc in Clinical Pharmacy or an equivalent qualification
