IT Support Technician FTC 12 Months

Location: Wolverhampton (i54)

We are seeking a skilled IT Support Technician to provide expert technical assistance to our team. This role requires a customer-focused individual who can efficiently resolve a wide range of IT and technical support requests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users on various IT service requests.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of our division-wide support function.
  • Support the IT Manager and wider team as needed.
  • Resolve general hardware issues, including laptops, PCs, servers, and printers.
  • Offer support for standard software such as MS Office 365, SharePoint, and Windows 10/11.
  • Act as administrator for systems like end-user backup systems, signature software, asset inventory, and auditing.
  • Ensure the IT support helpdesk is up-to-date and manage the system on a daily basis.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a 1st line IT support role or a relevant qualification, such as CompTIA, CISCO, or Microsoft.
  • Good working knowledge of general Microsoft software and network connectivity, including TCP/IP, VPN, and VLANs.
  • Experience with Windows server, Hyper-V, Cisco Meraki, Esxi, and Mimecast is beneficial.
  • A flexible approach, with the ability to prioritize and work under pressure, to meet deadlines.
  • The ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a professional and proactive approach to customer service.
