The Senior Production Manager is a crucial member of the production team, responsible for nurturing robust collaborations with external game development partners to ensure the successful launch of high-quality gaming titles across multiple platforms.
Your role will encompass the strategic oversight of production initiatives, leveraging both internal capabilities and external partnerships effectively. You will manage a dedicated production team, guiding projects from initial concept through to market release and ongoing support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Establishing partnerships with external game studios to ensure the timely delivery of premium gaming experiences.
- Working collaboratively across departments to optimize resource allocation and support studio operations.
- Acting as a champion for product development, cultivating a comprehensive understanding of our offerings and engaging with key stakeholders.
- Aligning studio objectives with Tencent's overarching business strategy in collaboration with senior management.
- Developing and implementing effective production workflows for project management and feedback processes.
- Assisting studios in identifying and addressing potential challenges early in the development cycle, while monitoring progress throughout.
- Evaluating production strategies against project milestones and objectives.
- Resolving intricate production challenges creatively to maintain project timelines.
- Collaborating with marketing and support teams on product validation and launch strategies.
- Facilitating seamless onboarding and communication across internal teams.
- Promoting a collaborative and positive environment within the production team.
Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of experience in game production, with a proven track record of delivering titles across various platforms.
- At least 5 years of experience in managing production teams.
- Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional projects while balancing quality, scope, budget, and timelines.
- Ability to influence and drive results without relying solely on formal authority.
- History of fostering high-performing teams to achieve outstanding product quality.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging with a diverse range of personalities.
- Strong organizational abilities and flexibility in adapting to changing circumstances.
- In-depth knowledge of product development and project management methodologies.
- A genuine passion for gaming and the game development process.
