Legionella Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Legionella Risk Management Specialist to join our team at ZipRecruiter. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for conducting risk assessments, organizing site attendance, and providing training to clients.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Risk Assessments: Conduct thorough risk assessments in accordance with ACOP L8/HSG 274 and HTM 04-01 guidelines to identify potential legionella risks.
- Organize Site Attendance: Plan and coordinate site attendance for allocated works, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks.
- Provide Training: Deliver Legionella awareness training to clients, utilizing the GENEX training template to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
- Obtain Quotations: Secure quotations for recommended remedial works, providing clients with accurate and reliable information.
- Implement Control Regimes: Develop and implement effective control and management regimes for water services, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Produce Reports: Generate comprehensive reports on risk assessments, site attendance, and training activities.
- Manage Records: Populate and program Records For Buildings, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Build Client Relationships: Foster strong relationships with clients, visiting corporate accounts and maintaining regular communication.
- Computer Literacy: Possess strong computer skills, including proficiency in major software packages such as word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, management, and organizational skills.
- Legionella Knowledge: Possess a thorough understanding of current legislation and guidance on legionella bacteria and water quality, including HSE's ACOP L8/HSG 274 Parts 1-3.
- Membership Requirements: Be aware of the requirements of the Legionella Control Association Membership.
- Health and Safety: Demonstrate awareness of health and safety issues and the need for safe methods of working.
- Driving License: Hold a full UK driving license.
- Asbestos Awareness: Possess Asbestos Awareness training.
- Confined Space Training: Have Confined Space working training.
- Flexible Working: Be willing to work flexible hours.
- Recognized Training: Have completed a recognized training course such as City and Guilds BS1,2,3 or 4; WMS risk assessment or equivalent.
