About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Static Project Engineer to join our team at Altrad UK, Ireland & Nordics. As a Senior Static Project Engineer, you will be responsible for a portfolio of projects and will provide technical advice and guidance to a team of engineers at all levels.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with a working knowledge of tools such as ANSYS Mechanical FEA and CFD, Hexagon CEASAR II, TWI CrackWise. Hexagon VVD & PV Elite and Bentley STAAD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform investigations into pipework & structural integrity problems and pipe stress analysis to ASME B31.X
  • Analyse & quantify damage mechanisms in plant components such as creep & fatigue
  • Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior engineers
  • Develop and implement industry leading products and techniques
Requirements
  • Qualified Mechanical Engineer with a working knowledge of the tools used to assess problems in the field of structural integrity
  • Experience in office and site work, ideally from a similar technical role within a relevant industry sector
  • Chartered and with ten or more years relevant industry experience
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards such as API-579, BS7910, ASME B31.X, PD5500 etc
