Vehicle Repair Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Repair Mechanic to join our team at KDM Hire Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining our fleet of commercial vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial vehicles, including engine servicing, brakes, clutches, and more.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using advanced diagnostic software and implement effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Stores department to source and acquire necessary parts for repairs.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure all service records are completed accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and adhere to all safety procedures and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a vehicle mechanic with hands-on experience in maintenance and repair.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Strong background in working with diesel engines.
  • Relevant mechanical qualifications are a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A valid full driving licence.

Working Hours and Location:

Monday - Thursday: 7:30 am - 5:00 pm, Friday: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm with overtime on Saturdays (rotational basis). Head Office, 11 Killycolp Road, Cookstown.

Salary: €35,000+ depending on experience.
