About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Lounge. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in delivering exceptional food quality and service standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the kitchen team to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Develop and implement menu planning, inventory management, and food safety protocols
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to create a positive and productive kitchen environment
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene
  • Manage kitchen inventory, supplies, and equipment to optimize efficiency and minimize waste

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef/Assistant Kitchen Manager
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and safety
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire the kitchen team
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain a calm and composed demeanor in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of kitchen operations, including inventory management, stock control, and food safety protocols
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to achieve common goals
