About the Role

Fifth Ring is a leading global B2B agency specializing in brand and demand marketing. We help our clients own their space by creating compelling stories, inspirational experiences, and impactful content.

We're seeking a seasoned Head of Public Relations to lead our PR campaigns, manage a team, and drive business growth. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for developing and executing strategic PR plans, building relationships with key stakeholders, and representing our clients in the media.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and lead the delivery of strategic PR campaigns that drive business results and exceed client expectations.
  • Work closely with our Client Services team to understand client needs and develop tailored PR solutions.
  • Provide expert communications advice and recommendations to clients across various mediums, including written, content, podcast, webcast, and video.
  • Develop and pitch creative campaign concepts to clients, leveraging your knowledge of the industry and market trends.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest news and developments in the industry, using this knowledge to inform your PR strategies and recommendations.
  • Represent Fifth Ring and our clients in the media, building relationships with key outlets and stakeholders to ensure our clients stay ahead of the competition.
  • Lead our Emergency Response team and fulfill ER responsibilities, ensuring our clients are prepared for any crisis that may arise.
  • Play a senior role in pitching for new projects and clients, contributing to proposal development and presentations.
  • Develop and deliver new products and services, including new technology advancements, to drive business growth and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to market Fifth Ring to new clients, leveraging your expertise to drive business growth.
  • Ensure all scheduled work is delivered on time and within budget, maintaining high standards of quality and excellence.
  • Work collaboratively with Fifth Ring colleagues globally, across various disciplines, to drive business growth and success.
  • Represent Fifth Ring externally at a senior level, building relationships with key stakeholders and promoting our brand and services.
  • Ensure Fifth Ring processes and procedures are followed at all times, maintaining high standards of quality and excellence.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a PR role, including strategic campaign planning, PR and media relations, and crisis communications.
  • Effective writing and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas and strategies to clients and stakeholders.
  • Influencing at a senior level, with the ability to build relationships and drive business growth.
  • Operating at a senior level, with a strong understanding of the industry and market trends.
  • IT literate, with a strong understanding of technology and its applications in PR and marketing.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Management experience, with a strong track record of leading teams and driving business growth.

Desirable:

  • Emergency response experience, with a strong understanding of crisis communications and management.
  • Developing and delivering pitches, with a strong understanding of the sales process and client needs.
  • Agency/client-facing experience, with a strong understanding of the industry and market trends.
  • An understanding of business-to-business marketing and communications, with a strong track record of driving business growth.
  • Commercial awareness, with a strong understanding of the industry and market trends.
  • Knowledge and experience of the oil and gas industry, with a strong understanding of the sector and its challenges.
  • Understanding of the digital landscape, with a strong understanding of technology and its applications in PR and marketing.
