Job Title: Chef - Bank

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our team at Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK's leading healthcare providers. As a Bank Chef, you will have the opportunity to deliver high-quality culinary experiences while enjoying a better work-life balance.

About the Role:

As a Bank Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious and delicious menus that cater to the needs of our residents. You will work with fresh seasonal produce to deliver high-quality dishes that meet the highest standards. Your role will involve managing the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, working within budget, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head Chef in creating menus that cater to the needs of our residents
  • Manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
  • Work with fresh seasonal produce to deliver high-quality dishes
  • Manage stock control and maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Assist in leading and motivating a team
Requirements:
  • A personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents
  • Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent
  • Experience in helping lead and inspire a team
  • A good understanding of nutrition
  • Experience of working with fresh seasonal food
  • The ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within our home
  • Good understanding of HACCP
