Job Summary

The Barchester Healthcare team is seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our bank team. As a Bank Chef, you will have the opportunity to work with fresh seasonal food, delivering hotel/restaurant standards without the long hours and split shifts. You will assist the Head Chef in creating menus that cater to the residents' preferences, ensuring they receive high-quality, wholesome dishes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, maintaining high standards and a warm, welcoming environment.
  • Work with fresh produce to deliver high-quality and wholesome dishes cooked at the highest standards.
  • Help create a warm, efficient, and fun environment, working within budget and managing stock control.
  • Assist in leading and motivating a team, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.

Person Specification

We are looking for a qualified chef with a City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification, experience in helping lead and inspire a team, and a good understanding of nutrition and HACCP. You should also have experience of working with fresh seasonal food and the ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within our home.
