Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom Cambridge Intelligence Full time

Are you passionate about ensuring software reliability and performance?

As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Cambridge Intelligence, you will be an integral part of the platform team, engaging with various products from their early stages to ensure top-notch quality throughout the development lifecycle. Your enthusiasm for the devops landscape will drive your desire to learn and grow in this area.

Key Responsibilities:

This role emphasizes collaboration, focusing on upholding and enhancing the quality of our product offerings. You will work closely with the entire development team to implement improvements and embed quality within the product. In partnership with Platform Engineers, you will pinpoint high-risk areas in each release or feature and adjust testing strategies accordingly, especially for innovative features where the interface may not be straightforward.

This is a full-time, permanent position with a hybrid working model.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will possess substantial experience in manual testing within agile frameworks. Familiarity with exploratory testing, defining acceptance criteria, and a blend of analytical and creative problem-solving skills are essential. Knowledge of platform-specific practices, such as managing CI/CD pipelines, deploying code from branch clusters, and creating test scenarios, is highly advantageous. A foundational understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript is also preferred.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in testing web applications and/or SDKs
  • Background in data visualization or software development
  • Performance testing expertise
  • Basic knowledge of AWS and Pulumi

Team Collaboration:

You will collaborate with four dedicated development teams, each comprising JavaScript/TypeScript developers, technical writers, test engineers, and a development manager.

Professional Development Opportunities:

At Cambridge Intelligence, we prioritize your growth. Each employee is allocated professional development time, with up to five days dedicated to acquiring new skills through conferences, training programs, or relevant courses.

Commitment to Diversity:

We strive to cultivate a fair, respectful, and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued. Our long-term commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion is integral to our recruitment and operational practices.

Employee Benefits:

We offer a hybrid working model (three days in the office during the initial probation period and at least one day per week thereafter), along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Pension scheme
  • Medical and Dental Insurance (BUPA)
  • 12% discretionary bonus
  • 25 days of annual leave
  • Five days of professional development funded by the company
