We are excited to present an opportunity for a Regional Technical Manager within a dynamic Facilities Management team that is expanding in line with strategic objectives. This role involves overseeing a diverse portfolio that provides essential accommodation services, ensuring that all properties are equipped with comprehensive Asset and Lifecycle management programs.
Role Overview:
The Regional Technical Manager will be responsible for providing strategic oversight regarding the rectification of non-reactive technical projects, aligning Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) services, and managing significant latent defects across the estate. This position will also entail the management of critical capital projects, refurbishment initiatives, and the overall leadership in delivering total Facilities Management services. Candidates with a strong background in either electrical or mechanical engineering are preferred.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver technical guidance and leadership for defect management and project execution across the estate.
- Support the development and implementation of the strategic business plan for Estates and Facilities.
- Lead and direct the city teams on all Mechanical and Electrical service aspects.
- Act as the onsite project manager, coordinating with third-party contractors to ensure the resolution of all latent defects.
- Ensure that all project completion documentation and warranties are submitted accurately.
- Provide technical assistance during the mobilization of new builds, acquisitions, refurbishments, and the subsequent snagging processes.
- Collaborate with development and acquisition teams to identify compliance requirements ahead of property handover.
- Review handover documentation and asset collection to support future mobilizations and maintenance strategies.
- Serve as the primary liaison between defect contractors, Estates and Facilities, and city operational teams.
- Report monthly to management on the status of ongoing projects across the estate.
Essential Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience in a similar property management role.
- Proven leadership capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical and Electrical Building Services or a related field.
- Relevant qualifications or substantial experience in the field.
- In-depth knowledge of building construction and mechanical/electrical systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
- Experience managing projects within budget, quality, and time constraints.
- Adept at working in a cross-functional environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
- Possession of a full clean driving license.
