Job Overview

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to uphold exceptional quality standards for our clientele. This role entails effective communication and monitoring of customer feedback to ensure that all responses are aligned with customer satisfaction. Quality Assurance Specialists are tasked with maintaining the quality of perishable goods according to established specifications.

This is a full-time, permanent position operating during the night shift (40 hours per week). The shift schedule is Monday to Friday from 14:30 to 22:30.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and document the quality of incoming products and those stored in inventory.
  • Reject any items that do not meet the required specifications and standards.
  • Collaborate with the Quality team to ensure high standards are consistently achieved, focusing on continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that rejected products are properly isolated for return and that control sheets are accurately completed, including details such as temperatures and material safety.
  • Adhere to established systems and procedures.
  • Address daily delivery quality issues as they arise.
  • Provide support in other Quality areas as needed.
  • Handle customer complaints effectively, monitoring suppliers and products associated with those complaints.
  • Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment where all staff members contribute to the overall success of the organization.
  • Provide ongoing intelligence and data that can assist other departments in making informed decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation (Health & Safety, Hygiene, BRC, etc.) applicable to a modern food business, reporting any violations promptly.
  • Engage in specific projects or tasks as directed by your line manager.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working night shifts in a food manufacturing setting, with a solid understanding of warehouse operations, quality assurance/control, and Health & Safety regulations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a flexible approach to work, enabling a strong focus on customer service and problem-solving.
