Employer Engagement Volunteer

Join SeeAbility's supported employment programme and make a difference in the lives of people with learning disabilities and autism.

We are seeking an Employer Engagement Volunteer to engage and convert employers into partners for our programme, supporting our coaches in driving engagement with potential employers and increasing awareness of employing people with learning disabilities and autism.

Your Role

As an Employer Engagement Volunteer, you will:

  • Proactively seek employers who may be open to employing participants on our programme or partnering with us to create inclusive workplaces.
  • Engage directly with employers around the benefits of employing people with learning disabilities and autism.
  • Work with our supported employment coaches to cultivate relationships with employers and place participants in paid employment.

Skills Required

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A knowledge of the local job market in Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
  • The ability and confidence to 'sell' the benefits of supported employment to employers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and web searches.
  • Ability to use MS Teams and Zoom for video calls.
  • Reliability and consistency.

Please note that you must be over the age of 18 to apply for this role. We will require a DBS check and two satisfactory references before a volunteer role is confirmed. You will also be required to undertake safeguarding training and any specific training for the role.
