We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Lead Practitioner to join our team at North East London NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Children and Young People's Mental Health Services, you will be responsible for leading and delivering a highly specialist therapeutic service to young people and their families who require a DBT Service.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in DBT and experience in working with young people with complex trauma and disordered eating. You will be responsible for providing clinical supervision, training, and research opportunities to team members, as well as developing and implementing service development plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver a highly specialist therapeutic service to young people and their families
  • Provide clinical supervision, training, and research opportunities to team members
  • Develop and implement service development plans
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless transitions for young people entering or leaving the DBT Service
  • Collaborate with other services to ensure clear transitions for young people
Requirements
  • Post qualification training in the clinical supervision of trainees
  • Training as part of a CYP IAPT collaborative in a recognised evidenced-based approach
  • Formal training in the supervision of a psychotherapeutic modality
  • Intensive DBT training
  • Demonstrate further specialist training and experience with a minimum of 50 hours of clinical supervision
  • Experience in the treatment of young people with complex trauma and disordered eating
  • Experience of teaching, training, and/or supervision
