Energy Centre Manager Job Description

Astute People is seeking an experienced Energy Centre Manager to oversee operations at the UK's leading district heating site in London. As the Energy Centre Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable delivery of heat, chill, and power to high-profile commercial and residential customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers to ensure the efficient operation of the energy centre
  • Provide HSE leadership and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
  • Manage the financial delivery of the site, including budgeting and cost control
  • Develop and implement maintenance and operational strategies to improve plant reliability and availability
  • Manage maintenance contracts and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Monitor and analyse plant performance to optimise energy delivery
Requirements:
  • Relevant engineering qualification (ONC/HNC/HND) and IOSH certification
  • At least five years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the district heating or CHP sector
  • Commercial contract management experience and ability to set and deliver strategic decisions
  • Authorised Engineer status
