Energy Centre Manager Job Description

Astute People is seeking an experienced Energy Centre Manager to join our team in London. As the Energy Centre Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our district heating site, providing heat, chill, and power to high-profile commercial and residential customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the reliable delivery of heat, chill, and power to customers
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers
  • Provide HSE leadership and manage the financial delivery of the site
  • Develop maintenance and operational strategies in line with the wider business
  • Manage maintenance contracts and identify and analyse plant issues to improve plant reliability and availability
  • Manage and monitor contractor performance
Requirements
  • Ideal qualifications include ONC/HNC/HND in a relevant engineering field
  • IOSH or equivalent is a must
  • At least five years' experience in a similar role from a similar industry such as CHP, Energy from Waste, Biomass, etc.
  • Experience in commercial contract management and authorised engineer status
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work under pressure and with excellent attention to detail
