Role Overview:

We are seeking a committed individual with a background or interest in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

A primary educational institution in the Hartlepool vicinity is looking for a skilled Primary Special Educational Needs Support Assistant to join their team in a full-time, long-term capacity.

Key Requirements for the Role:

  • Proven experience in providing support for children with SEND
  • Possession of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher
  • Current Child Only DBS registered on the Update Service
  • Experience working with primary school-aged children
  • Strong skills in managing behavior effectively

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children exhibiting Autism or challenging behaviors. You will be tasked with providing one-on-one support to a pupil with SEND.

Additionally, you will be responsible for designing engaging activities that inspire and motivate children to enhance their learning experience. The institution has received a 'GOOD' rating in its most recent Ofsted inspection, and the staff are known for their welcoming and supportive nature, along with access to excellent facilities and resources.

All quoted pay rates will include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the potential for a permanent role in the future.
