Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team at ELP Consult Ltd. in Norwich, UK. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in driving financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support business growth and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and oversee budgets and financial forecasts, conduct variance analysis, and analyze financial data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with local financial reporting requirements.
- Internal Controls and Compliance: Establish and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard assets, ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, and coordinate audits (internal and external) and implement audit recommendations.
- Operational Support: Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the manufacturing process, collaborate with APU managers to develop solutions for scrap, rework, OEE, productivity, and efficiency, and evaluate the financial impact of supply chain decisions.
- Cost Reduction Initiatives: Identify areas where costs can be reduced without compromising quality or production capabilities, implement lean manufacturing principles, and conduct cost-benefit analyses to provide recommendations to management on proposed capital projects.
- Inventory Control: Ensure accurate inventory accounting, oversee physical inventory counts, analyze inventory turnover rates, and work with the supply chain team to optimize inventory levels and reduce carrying costs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a liaison between the finance department and other departments to ensure financial considerations are integrated into daily operational decisions, facilitate regular financial review meetings with cross-functional teams, and support new product development including cost estimation, price strategies, and profitability analysis.
- Honesty and integrity with respective manner
- Bachelor or above academic degree with major in finance, accounting, or other similar disciplines
- 5+ years of finance working experience in manufacturing
- ERP skill, i.e. SAP FI/CO
- Strong Microsoft skills
- Excellent writing and communication skill in English and Chinese
