About the Role

We are seeking an experienced CMM Programmer/Inspector to join our team at CRC Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and precision of our manufactured components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct quality inspections of machined components to ensure dimensional accuracy and process control.
  • Create, install, and run CNC CMM programs using PC-DMIS.
  • Collaborate with the drawing office to ensure that all revisions are current and changes affecting component manufacture are clearly communicated.
  • Perform patrol inspections to confirm documentation is correctly completed and operator checks are recorded.
  • Liaise with purchasing to ensure external treatments are correctly dispatched and checked upon return.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO systems and procedures.
  • Carry out any other duties as required and deemed appropriate.
Requirements
  • Engineering knowledge for precision measurement using a Co-ordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) including programming skills using PC-DMIS.
  • Experience using various manual inspection tools, such as gauges, micrometers, and verniers.
  • Experience within a CNC Machining environment.
  • Ability to effectively read and understand engineering drawings, engineering documents, purchase orders, inspection manuals, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with Initial Sample Inspection Report (ISIR) and First Article Inspection (FAI).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with different departments and external suppliers.
  • Ability to stand firm in the face of quality issues to protect the business.
  • Analytical and investigative mind with problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of attention to detail.
