Head of Mechanical Design

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Mechanical Design to join our Andretti Cadillac team at our new Silverstone facility. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to our mechanical design group, ensuring the development of high-performance cars that meet the requirements of the car specification.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the Mechanical Design Team to ensure the delivery of high-quality designs and projects.
- Develop and implement design strategies and processes to improve the performance and efficiency of our cars.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing and engineering, to ensure seamless integration of design and production.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior designers and engineers to help them develop their skills and expertise.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, technologies, and industry developments to ensure our designs remain competitive and innovative.
- Proven experience in mechanical design and leadership roles, preferably in the motorsport industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical manufacturing, materials, and analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, innovative, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
