About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Financial Reconciliation Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the prioritization and reconciliation of supplier accounts with outstanding balances.

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role include:

  • Completing the prioritization and reconciliation of supplier accounts with outstanding balances
  • Issuing supplier statements
  • Reporting on progress - weekly updates on completion of reconciliations, reductions of backlog, new rejections and outstanding volumes
  • Liaising with provisions team to update MOSAIC
  • Providing expert support to contact team as required
  • Working effectively with other team members as part of a professional team in the delivery of correct answers to provider queries raised through calls and enquiry forms
  • Expediting actions of other teams until resolved
  • Maintaining an awareness of corporate and departmental equalities and health & safety policies and procedures and applying them in the day-to-day requirements of the job
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in supporting the delivery of key accounting functions (e.g. budget preparation, budget monitoring and year end accounts)
  • Evidence of being able to manage and control work to professional and quality standards within appropriate deadlines
  • Able to use financial systems and applications to extract and interpret relevant information
  • Experience in using spreadsheets and word processing software in order to analyse and present information
  • Able to display professional development beyond that acquired during the normal course of a job or formal training and commitment to continuous professional development
  • Qualified member of the Association of Accounting Technicians or agreed equivalent relevant qualification
