Adults Social Work Team Manager

Reed is seeking an experienced Adults Social Work Team Manager to join their team. As a key member of the Locality Team, you will be responsible for leading a team of staff, including recruitment, motivation, training, welfare, performance management, and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement policies and procedures for the team and area, contributing to the development of strategy, services, and policies for a specialized field.
  2. Undertake performance management, quality assurance, and ensure value for money in services delivered by the team.
  3. Oversee and undertake clear and detailed client assessments, screening for risk and urgency, ensuring that referrals are allocated in accordance with agreed protocols, priorities, and workload management systems.
  4. Provide professional advice, guidance, and information to internal and external stakeholders, including social work students and other professionals.
  5. Manage and develop transitions arrangements and chair multi-disciplinary meetings as appropriate.
  6. Ensure that 'Making Safeguarding Personal' is undertaken, in accordance with policies and procedures.
  7. Investigate and seek to resolve formal and informal complaints in a timely fashion.
