About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Academic Lecturer in Design Studies to join our team at Bath Spa University. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering teaching into our Design degree programmes, contributing expertise across all levels of the undergraduate programmes.
About the Position
The Academic Lecturer will be expected to contribute particular expertise in Design, with a focus on Graphic Communication, Interior Design, and Architecture. This will inform their teaching, scholarship, and research. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional interpersonal, networking, and communication skills, with experience of teaching online being an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching to undergraduate students in Design Studies
- Contribute to the development of curriculum and assessment materials
- Supervise student projects and provide feedback
- Participate in departmental and faculty meetings
- Contribute to the development of the department's research profile
About You
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and experienced academic with a strong track record of teaching and research in Design Studies. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and external partners. Experience of teaching online and contributing to departmental and faculty meetings would be an advantage.
