Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team in Derby. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle in a custom fabrication and manufacturing environment, ensuring timely delivery within budget and in line with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Head of Projects, you will bring technical expertise, commercial awareness, and strong leadership to ensure successful project execution.
- Overseeing the full project lifecycle, including project planning, execution, and closure.
- Ensuring timely delivery within budget and in line with company objectives.
- Working collaboratively with the project management team to achieve project goals.
- Providing technical expertise and guidance to project team members.
- Developing and implementing project plans, including resource allocation and risk management.
- Coordinating with stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Managing project budgets, including cost control and financial reporting.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- A project management qualification with at least 5 years of hands-on experience within a closely related industry, demonstrating strong technical competence and a keen understanding of the commercial aspects of business.
- Extensive experience in client-facing roles, including gathering initial project briefs, coordinating with all relevant parties, and confidently presenting and negotiating with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel overseas on occasion.
- Strong technical knowledge of custom fabrication and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
