About the Role:
We are seeking a Cover Supervisor to join our team at Academics Ltd. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing cover for classes in secondary schools across Worksop and the surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide cover for classes in secondary schools
- Manage behaviour and ensure pupils remain on task and complete their work
- Work with teachers to ensure a smooth transition of lessons
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with pupils, teachers, and school staff
Requirements:
- Experience of working with children or teenagers
- Self-motivated and reliable
- Flexible and able to travel around Worksop and the surrounding areas
- Available to work Monday-Friday, usual working hours between 8.00am-3.30pm
- Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service or prepared to apply for a new DBS
- Degree-level qualification in any specialism
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- Working as a Teaching Assistant within schools
- Sports Coaching/Youth work
- Drama or Art Workshops/Drama School/Theatre in Education
- Working in Sunday Schools, Mosques or Synagogue schools
- After School Club/Summer Camps
- Scouts/Guides/Brownies/Cubs/Rainbows
- Outdoor Activities Instructor/Duke of Edinburgh
- Teaching abroad, teaching adults or tutoring
