About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced SEND Class Teacher to join our dedicated team at The Holden School. As a SEND Class Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering the school curriculum to pupils with a wide range of needs, ensuring their educational and personal development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver the school curriculum to pupils with SEND, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs
  • Work collaboratively with the class team, pastoral team, and therapists to provide a comprehensive support system for pupils
  • Develop and implement individualized curriculums to meet the needs of pupils with complex needs
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these
  • Contribute to the development of the school's therapeutic and trauma-informed approach
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience of working with pupils with SEND, preferably in an SEN/ASC environment
  • Excellent teaching skills, with the ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, parents, and carers
  • Resilience and a calm, engaging approach to teaching
