An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Ward Manager to join our exceptional mental health service in the Hook, Hampshire area. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of nurses to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of nurses to provide primary care to patients
- Develop and implement nursing care plans to ensure patient safety and well-being
- Attend clinical team meetings and participate in Multi-Disciplinary assessment and treatment planning
- Assist in the coordination of nursing activity over a 24-hour period to ensure adequate rostering and skill mix provision
- Attend department/ward meetings to participate in service development and planning
- Work closely with the Director of Clinical Services to ensure effective nursing operations
- Provide supervision and development opportunities for staff to improve quality and patient care
Requirements:
- Qualified as an RMN or RNLD Nurse with a current active NMC Pin
- Experience of working in clinical settings relevant to the post
- Evidence of continuing professional development and a willingness to complete further training and development
- Experience of clinical audit and/or service improvement based on evidence desirable
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
