About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Senior Staff Nurse. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and leading the delivery of comprehensive nursing assessments, plans, and evaluations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver prescribed care to a defined group of patients, reflecting their individual needs
  • Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care that takes account of patient choice and wishes, acting as the named nurse
  • Contribute to a team approach to patient care, working collaboratively with the Multi-Disciplinary team
  • Build relationships and effectively communicate with external professionals and stakeholders
  • Accurately communicate with, observe, and engage with patients to assess need and evaluate progress
  • Understand and participate in relevant quality improvement processes and clinical governance, supporting the site to achieve high standards of person-centred care and regulatory outcomes
  • Ensure record keeping is accurate and documentation is completed contemporaneously, including daily notes and incident reports
  • Escalate concerns appropriately regarding resident/service user well-being, incidents, or staffing concerns in a timely manner
  • Support new/junior/agency staff, as required, and deliver person-centred care to the required standards
  • Act as the Nurse in Charge of the Ward, supervising a defined group of Nursing or HCA colleagues, and ensuring they receive management and clinical supervision
  • Undertake a defined lead role within the ward or hospital, prioritising nursing duties and delegating appropriately and effectively within the shift coordination framework
  • Maintain a continued level of personal professional development to demonstrate contemporary practice and meet the requirements of revalidation
  • Develop and maintain a good professional relationship with patients, colleagues, and visitors, responding promptly and courteously to requests, enquiries, concerns, complaints, and suggestions
