We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Care Home Chef to join our team at Go To Outsourcing.

Job Role: Chef

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve high-quality meals to residents in a care home setting.
  • Cater to special dietary requirements and provide nutritionally balanced meals.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and inventory management.
  • Lead a small team of kitchen staff and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.

Requirements:

  • 12+ months of experience as a head chef in a care home or similar setting.
  • Relevant certifications or extensive experience in cooking English-based cuisine.
  • Ability to cook for large groups (30+ people) and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings and evenings.
  • Comfortable with IDDSI training and able to work with kitchen assistants (KA's).
  • Ability to bake cakes and pastries as required.

Schedule:

Flexible scheduling to accommodate 8-10 hour shifts, with the ability to work between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
