Key Responsibilities
People Management
- Address guest feedback promptly and courteously, ensuring a high level of service.
- Continuously seek ways to enhance collaboration and efficiency within the Front of House teams.
- Oversee the seamless operation of the night shift, providing support to the reception team and other departments as needed.
- Conduct daily briefings with the team, offering guidance, support, and relevant updates.
Quality Assurance
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of local attractions, amenities, and services, with a strong emphasis on London.
- Uphold high standards of presentation for the department, products, and staff on duty.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and health safety regulations, including the Licensing Act.
- Act as a representative for the General Manager, Front Office Manager, and Night Manager in their absence.
- Perform daily closing procedures and data backups for the reception and accounting systems.
- Ensure the safety and security of guests and staff throughout the night.
- Manage the orderly execution of nightly operations, including account closures.
- Complete all assigned tasks efficiently while ensuring effective communication before the end of the shift.
- Be well-versed in the operational systems and standards of performance.
- Contribute to departmental meetings to review objectives and monitor results.
- Assist the Night Manager in ensuring the safety and well-being of all guests and staff during night hours, addressing any incidents as per company guidelines.
- Be knowledgeable about hotel emergency and evacuation procedures.
Profit Management
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of room types, hotel amenities, pricing, packages, and current promotions.
- Maximize occupancy rates through effective upselling techniques.
- Support the Front Office Manager with departmental administration.
- Ensure proper follow-up on no-show charges, chargebacks, and outstanding payments.
About You
- A minimum of one year of experience in a similar role is essential.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a proven track record of team development.
- Excellent communication skills across various platforms.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Exceptional organizational and planning skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with a solid understanding of hotel operations and relevant legislative requirements.
