Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive individual who thrives on challenges and enjoys teamwork. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing a robust performance and information function within the Gwent Regional Partnership Board Support Team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis & Reporting
    • Define, collate, analyse, and interpret complex data from various sources.
    • Create and maintain performance dashboards and employ statistical packages to support reporting.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and the team, presenting information and findings in meetings and reports, where required.
  • Information Management
    • Develop and manage analytical information systems and reporting processes to meet stakeholder's needs.
    • Ensure compliance with data protection and information security standards.
  • Training & Development
    • Provide training in analytics and support the development of self-service skills among multi-disciplinary staff.

Requirements

  • Essential
    • Education to degree level plus postgraduate diploma in a quantitative science, including data analysis/presentation and management of large datasets or equivalent knowledge acquired through experience and further training and development.
    • Significant experience within an information and data environment.
    • Business analysis of data and project implementation, including performance outputs (dashboards).
    • Operational research experience, including quantitative and qualitative data.
    • Experience in partnership working across different organisations.
  • Desirable
    • Experience of software development and/or testing.

Skills and Attributes

  • Essential
    • Advanced analytical skills.
    • Technically skilled in the use of statistical packages/databases/performance dashboards.
    • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a format suitable for a range of target audiences and stakeholders.
    • Skilled in the use of Office 365 Products, including PowerBi and Excel.
  • Desirable
    • Understanding of health and social care policy context.
    • Knowledge of health and social care informatics and performance frameworks.
    • Welsh language skills.
