The Sales Engineer is a critical role that bridges the gap between sales and engineering at Harness. As the primary technical support for the field sales force, the Sales Engineer plays a pivotal role in driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Compelling Presentations: Develop and deliver world-class presentations and demos that showcase the value proposition of Harness solutions.
  • Technical Support: Provide direct technical support to customers, troubleshooting common errors and ensuring seamless onboarding.
  • Business Problem-Solving: Effectively tie business problems to technical solutions, demonstrating a deep understanding of customer needs.
  • Value Proposition: Articulate the technology value proposition to various stakeholders, including executive, business, and technical audiences.
  • Complex Engagements: Drive complex technical engagements with customers to prove the value of Harness solutions.
About You
  • Product Storytelling: Develop and deliver compelling product demonstrations that tell a story of how Harness software provides value to customers.
  • Product Representation: Represent Harness products to customers and at field events, such as conferences and seminars.
  • Technical Expertise: Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes and developments in Harness technologies.
  • Development Background: Possess a strong background in software development, have prior experience as a developer, or have worked with developers in a DevOps role.
  • Cloud Knowledge: Demonstrate strong cloud knowledge, with experience in infrastructure automation using Terraform.
  • RFIs/RFPs: Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs, conveying customer requirements to Engineering teams.
  • Travel Requirements: Be able to travel throughout a sales territory with minimal restrictions and occasionally on short notice.
