Join Our Team as a Field Service Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our team at Lifelancer, a leading talent-hiring platform in Life Sciences, Pharma, and IT. As a Field Service Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our customers across the UK and Ireland by servicing and installing scientific instruments and machines at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform service activities within guidelines and in compliance with internal and customer procedures and regulations.
  • Install, maintain, and instruct customers on the use of instruments to ensure safe and effective operations.
  • Provide telephone and on-site support to ensure customer success with their instrumentation.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with existing customers to achieve customer loyalty.
  • Upsell service contracts and products through our FLIP award program.
  • Identify sales leads and pass them to the Sales organization.
  • Coordinate work schedules with relevant partners, including service coordinators, managers, and colleagues.
  • Produce timely and accurate reports of activities, including engineer reports, planned maintenance reports, installation reports, and expense reports.
Requirements:
  • Professional background in Life Sciences or related subjects.
  • Ideal lab experience.
  • Electronics, Engineering, or Biochemistry background desirable.
  • May hold a technical certificate level or an academic degree.
  • Some past relevant experience within a service function.
  • Troubleshooting knowledge and experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Driving license required.
