Lead a Dynamic Nursing Team in Our Forward-Thinking NICU

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Neonatal Nurse to lead our dynamic nursing team at our Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at The William Harvey Hospital in Ashford, Kent. Our unit provides care for babies and families from the local East Kent community and contributes to the Emergency Bed Bureau.

As a Neonatal Nurse Leader, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of nurses to provide high-quality care to babies and families
  • Developing and implementing policies and guidelines to improve patient care
  • Collaborating with the local University to provide placements for midwifery and Child Branch Students
  • Supporting Continuing Professional Development for staff, including BSc and Masters Programmes, Neosave, NLS Neonatal Simulation & Human Factors Training

Experience

Essential:

  • 2 Years Experience at Band 6 in Level 3 Neonatal Unit
  • Experience of taking charge of a neonatal unit
  • Experience of developing policies and guidelines

Desirable:

  • Health & Safety

Knowledge

Essential:

  • Current issues in Nursing and Professional Issues

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Registered Nurse / Adult / Child or Registered Midwife

Desirable:

  • BSc in Healthcare related subject or working towards
