About the Role
Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Tax Accountant to join our client's finance team. The ideal candidate will have specialized knowledge in Indirect Taxes and a strong background in tax compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage European entities VAT Returns and Corporation Tax Returns, ensuring timely payments and compliance.
- Review and analyze VAT rates applied to new products, performing quarterly reviews to minimize liabilities and compliance issues.
- Prepare and submit tax-related reporting for US Group Finance and Tax teams, advising on US Tax matters impacting local operations and accounting.
- Conduct quarterly Local GAAP and US GAAP ETR calculations, reviewing FIN48 requirements.
- Provide tax advisory and compliance services, acting as a point of contact for Corporation Tax and indirect tax questions.
- Stay up-to-date with key corporate tax and indirect tax legislation, ensuring the business remains compliant.
- Assist with tax compliance of intercompany transactions and perform ad-hoc income tax research and tax planning.
- Manage tax audits and queries from tax authorities.
Requirements
The successful candidate will be a qualified tax accountant or have significant experience in indirect tax across European jurisdictions. Corporate tax experience is a plus, or the ability to learn and develop knowledge in this area.
