We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to enhance our team in Spalding
**This position operates on a day shift schedule, following a 4 on, 4 off rotation**

In the role of Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be instrumental in maintaining our high standards of quality. Your responsibilities will include inspecting incoming fruit, conducting sampling procedures, and ensuring our products consistently meet established quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality assessments on incoming fruit to verify adherence to specifications using standardized tools.
  • Document inspection results, generate reports, and escalate critical findings for timely resolution.
  • Collect, prepare, and evaluate fruit samples for fundamental quality analysis.
  • Monitor and report on yield and defect metrics for ongoing analysis and enhancement.
  • Assist in the development of innovative QC technologies and manage fruit for research and development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external partners to uphold consistent quality standards.
  • Support the technical team with various quality control tasks as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and maintain uniform product quality.
  • Prioritize health, safety, and hygiene standards for yourself and your colleagues, which may involve physically demanding tasks.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify potential quality concerns during inspections.
  • Experience in handling or inspecting perishable goods.
  • Valid UK driving license.
  • Able to perform physically demanding tasks as required.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • A commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a quality control or similar role, ideally within the fresh produce sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in inspecting incoming raw materials according to established quality standards and protocols.
  • Familiarity with basic quality control tools.
  • A solid understanding of quality control principles and their application in a fast-paced setting.
