Quality Assurance Supervisor

Westfalia Fruit is a leading multinational supplier of fresh fruit and related value-added products to global markets. Our vertically-integrated supply chain enables us to grow, source, ripen, pack, process, and market quality avocados and fresh produce 365 days a year and across the globe.

We're seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our team in Spalding, Lincolnshire. As a key member of our QA team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our products meet and exceed expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the QA team to ensure all tasks are completed to schedule.
  • Conduct thorough product inspections and maintain accurate quality records.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement changes to maintain our reputation for quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in the training of Westfalia Fruit and agency staff in product grading.
  • Maintain systems to manage label information against customer specifications and conduct label checks.
Requirements:
  • 3 years' experience working within a food production environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Quality Assurance position.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with colleagues across various departments.
  • A keen eye for detail with a diligent approach to thinking.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Desirable:
  • Experience within FMCG would be advantageous.
  • Proven experience in leadership and team management.
