Children's Home Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Home Manager to lead our residential team and create a nurturing environment for vulnerable young people to thrive.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a strong background in residential childcare, with experience in managing a team and overseeing the day-to-day running of a children's home. They will be responsible for promoting the ethos of openness and equality of communication, using the principles of Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy (PACE) to provide attachment security for the young people.
The Home Manager will oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of placement plans and risk assessments, maintaining accurate records within the house in line with legislation and company policies. They will also liaise with families and external agencies, provide staff supervision and training, and lead, guide, and motivate team members.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the day-to-day running of the home, including staffing, weekly budgets, and resources
- Promote the ethos of openness and equality of communication
- Use the principles of PACE to provide attachment security for the young people
- Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of placement plans and risk assessments
- Liaise with families and external agencies
- Provide staff supervision and training
- Lead, guide, and motivate team members
- Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare or a Degree in Social Work (or equivalent qualification)
- Achieved or be working towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Management in Residential Childcare
- At least 2 years' experience working with children/young people, preferably with emotional or behavioural difficulties/disrupted attachments
- Experience in a managerial role within a residential setting
- Knowledge of The Children's Home (England) Regulations 2015 and Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
