About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Amazon Operations. As a key member of our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing technologies in our Global Amazon Warehouse & Delivery Network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance on a range of equipment to ensure high availability and quality.
  • React quickly to breakdowns, communicate effectively with affected parties, and work efficiently to resolve issues.
  • Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and providing feedback and suggestions for improvements.
  • Provide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers.
  • Support and learn from Senior Reliability Engineering Technicians.
  • Manage contractors as required.
Requirements
  • Multi-skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
  • Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems.
  • Experience fault-finding within MHE (Material Handling Equipment)/Automation systems.
  • Experience in interpreting both mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters.
  • Served a full Engineering indentured apprenticeship and/or qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Engineering subject.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience of high voltage switching.
  • Experience of sortation machines.
  • Experience of maintaining/configuring barcode scanners.
  • Experience of print and apply machines.
  • HNC, HND, BSc, BEng.
