About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Technician to join our team at Kyocera Document Solutions UK. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to our Managed Document Services accounts, investigating and rectifying faults, and performing routine maintenance and modifications.

Main Responsibilities
  • Technical Assistance: Provide timely and effective technical assistance to assigned accounts, ensuring that all issues are resolved within agreed timescales.
  • Fault Investigation and Rectification: Investigate and rectify faults reported by customers, using your technical expertise to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Routine Maintenance and Modifications: Perform routine maintenance and modifications to ensure that our customers' equipment is running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Installation Support: Provide support during installations, ensuring that all equipment is installed correctly and that customers are satisfied with the service.
  • SLA Management: Understand and be fully conversant with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) relating to assigned accounts, ensuring that all targets are met and exceeded.
  • Basic Fault Finding: Understand solutions in use and be able to carry out basic fault finding, using your technical expertise to identify and resolve issues.
  • Team Support: Back up colleagues when necessary, providing support during busy periods or when colleagues are on holiday or sick leave.
  • Call Logging: Log call details using our call logging system, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Recurring Faults: Report recurring faults to enable proactive management of such faults, ensuring that our customers' equipment is running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Expertise Sharing: Share your technical expertise and knowledge with team members, ensuring that everyone is up-to-date with the latest solutions and technologies.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Build relationships with key stakeholders within our customers' organizations, ensuring that our service is delivered to the highest standards.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure that boot stock and/or site stock is maintained at specified levels, ensuring that our customers' equipment is always available and ready for use.
  • Training and Development: Attend product courses as requested, ensuring that your knowledge base is sufficient for the job role and that you are up-to-date with the latest solutions and technologies.
Requirements
  • Full UK Driving License: You must hold a full UK driving license, as you will be required to travel to customer sites.
  • Field Technical Support Experience: You must have previous experience of working in a field technical support environment, preferably within the multifunctional device or print arena.
  • Qualifications: You must hold a City & Guilds or similar qualification, demonstrating your technical expertise and knowledge.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: You must be able to think through problems in a logical manner, using your technical expertise to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Communication Skills: You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring that our service is delivered to the highest standards and that our customers are satisfied with the service.
