We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Supervisor - Mechanical to join our team at Derby City Council. As a key member of our Property, Design and Maintenance division, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our building services.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and oversee the delivery of building and maintenance projects, providing technical expertise and ensuring quality, health and safety standards are met.
- Act as an advisor to the Corporate Landlord on compliance across the Council's estate, providing guidance on building services and maintenance.
- Lead on resource planning and budgeting, overseeing the design and implementation of works and contract management.
- Manage the delivery of the legionella planned maintenance programme, ensuring all work is delivered on schedule and to the required standards.
- Represent the Council on major projects, advising on design and drawing suitability, and ensuring the end result is fit for purpose.
- Experience in providing technical direction with regard to construction, technology, and building engineering services.
- Proven leadership of minor and major building works on a range of projects, including new build, routine repairs, conversions, and planned preventative maintenance.
- Proven application of effective project and programme management (Prince2 or similar).
- A minimum of a University degree relevant to Building Services Engineering.
