About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join our team at Vistry Group PLC. As an Assistant Site Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management and delivery of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager and Site Manager in the day-to-day control of the site, management and delivery of project works.
  • Manage and deliver project works, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Lead by example, managing the day-to-day delivery of construction projects, quality, time, procurement, and contractors.
  • Manage sub-contractors, including monitoring of contractor attendance and progress, providing direct instruction and support as necessary.
  • Follow Vistry site procedures and maintain all daily, weekly, and monthly site paperwork as required to be audit compliant.
  • Involved with the management of internal/external design teams/consultants to meet project deadlines.
  • Produces and regularly reviews short-term programmes in line with the overall project programme to ensure completion on time.
  • Ensure that detailed plans are available commensurate with the overall project plan, such that material/resources/supply chain can be delivered to meet scheduled deadlines.
  • Appreciate the commercial implications and drivers within the construction process and incorporate these into decision-making.
  • Liaise with Contract Manager to ensure that they are fully aware of project progress and notified of all financial, specification, and time risks.
