Job Title: Field Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Field Engineer to join our dynamic team at Human Engineering. As a Field Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability in various construction, mining, and industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, implementing timely and effective solutions.
  • Conduct thorough examinations of components to identify potential defects or deficiencies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to schedule and execute service activities, minimising downtime and maximising uptime.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to customers and onsite personnel, ensuring proper operation and maintenance practices.
  • Accurately record service activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and equipment documentation.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Engineering discipline.
  • Experience working with heavy equipment in a field service capacity.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems on heavy equipment.
  • Certifications or tickets related to site machinery maintenance (e.g., CPCS, NPORS, IPAF).
  • Demonstrated diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients and team members effectively.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
