About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Utilities Engineer to join our team at Black Fox Solutions. As a Utilities Engineer - Asset Optimization Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting a multi-disciplined team to optimize company assets in a cost-effective manner.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that regulatory and audit requirements associated with the Utilities Maintenance department are met, maintaining the highest standards of compliance and adherence to industry regulations.
  • Contractor Management: Effectively manage 3rd party contractors, ensuring seamless collaboration and coordination to achieve project goals.
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Develop, maintain, and update SOPs for engineering and maintenance activities, guaranteeing they are current, technically correct, and up-to-date.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the Utilities team, ensuring site Utilities and systems are maintained to the highest standards, and performance metrics are met.
  • KPIs and Reporting: Own and manage KPIs and reporting metrics for Utility assets, providing actionable insights to drive business decisions.
  • Maintenance Schedules: Ensure maintenance schedules are met, and all work carried out is thoroughly documented, maintaining a high level of transparency and accountability.
  • Workmanship Standards: Ensure team workmanship standards are met to agreed standards, promoting a culture of excellence and quality.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform any other duties as deemed necessary by management, contributing to the overall success of the team.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Qualified in an electrical, electronic, or mechanical discipline (City & Guilds, BTEC, or Degree).
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years post-apprenticeship experience or 2 years post-graduate experience.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrate experience leading teams, coordination, planning, and execution of work.
  • Continuous Improvement: Embrace a continuous improvement mindset, creating a sense of urgency to deliver change and drive business growth.
  • Technical Skills: Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to generate reports.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Advanced Qualifications: 3rd-level qualification in a related technical discipline.
  • Industry Certifications: IOSH or NEBOSH qualified or working towards.
  • Leadership Experience: 5+ years supervisory or technical leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
