Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced academic to join our team at the University of Sheffield. As a clinical academic in Cardiology, you will play a critical role in shaping clinical and translational research in the Division of Clinical Medicine.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct research in the field of Cardiovascular Medicine, with a focus on clinical trials in atherothrombosis.
- Teach and mentor researchers across all career stages, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Develop and lead translational research projects, collaborating with the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (STH) and the NIHR Sheffield Biomedical Research Centre (BRC).
- Provide academic leadership and support to the School of Medicine and Population Health.
Requirements:
- PhD in a relevant field, with a strong track record of research and academic leadership.
- Experience in clinical trials and translational research, with a focus on Cardiovascular Medicine.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
