Job Description

UKCIL is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Personal Assistant to support a 15-year-old girl with Asperger's in accessing activities and building her confidence.

Main Responsibilities
  • Accompany the individual on days out and to activities in the community
  • Supervise and support the individual at all times, ensuring her safety and well-being
  • Use strategies to encourage and distract the individual when feeling anxious or less confident
  • Set clear boundaries and expectations of behavior while with the individual
  • Encourage social interactions with peers and adults
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Safeguarding Adults/Children training
  • Understanding of challenging behavior and autism/Asperger's
  • Full UK driving license and own personal car
Working Arrangements

The successful candidate will be required to work 4 hours per week during term time and 6 hours during school holidays, with a rate of £12.40 per hour.

The ideal candidate will be caring, patient, and able to provide a reassuring presence for the individual. They will also be able to work independently and as part of a team.
