Position Overview

Kier Group is seeking two Senior Quantity Surveyors to enhance our Natural Resources Team. This role offers flexibility with remote work options while requiring occasional site visits.

Location: Remote work with reporting to the Sheffield office, including travel as necessary.

Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time – flexible and part-time arrangements may be considered.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial and commercial elements of projects valued between £5m-£20m, specifically within clean and dirty water treatment facilities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the financial resources and personnel of assigned projects to optimize gross margin through effective contract management.
  • Identifying, assessing, and mitigating commercial and contractual risks.
  • Facilitating the authorization and submission of project variations.
  • Enhancing cash flow through meticulous control, measurement, and valuation of work, alongside the invoicing of clients and payment of suppliers.

Candidate Profile

This Senior Quantity Surveyor position is ideal for individuals who possess:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying.
  • Experience in managing complex civil engineering projects within the water sector.
