Garden Centre Retail Assistant Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Retail Assistant to join our team at our Garden Centre in High Wycombe. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and contributing to the overall success of our Garden Centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge, ensuring that you are aware of all products and services offered by the Garden Centre.
  • Contribute to the visual merchandising of the Garden Centre, ensuring that displays are attractive and well-maintained.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash and card payments.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales targets and provide a positive shopping experience for customers.
Requirements:
  • Previous retail experience is highly beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift and move stock as required.
What We Offer:
  • Hourly rate of £11.54 for those 23 and over (National Minimum Wage for those below).
  • 37.5 hours per week, full time, permanent contract.
  • Alternating weekend shifts for a better work life balance (every other weekend off).
